Which measuring instruments must I control as part of an ISO 9001 certification?


 

Determining the measurements and measuring instruments that impact (or can impact) the validity of the measurement, test or inspection results. The standard 9001 states that “the organisation must establish processes to ensure that monitoring and measurement processes can be coherently executed in relation to the monitoring and measurement requirements. When it is necessary to guarantee valid results…” Therefore, it is up to your company to draw up the list of measuring equipment that may impact the quality of your output.

The French College of Metrology has also published "L'audit de la métrologie en certification" (Metrology audits for certification purposes) containing information that is useful in the certification of management systems.
