What is the Monte Carlo method that is used to assess uncertainty?


The Monte Carlo method is used to calculate the value of the measurement result and to estimate an interval containing a large fraction of the values that can be attributed to the measurand on the basis of the knowledge of the measurement model, the value, the uncertainty and the shape of the distribution of the input quantities of the measurement model.
