Why are more and more metrology-related activities being outsourced?
Mainly because metrology is very rarely the core business of a company, meaning that many groups have decided to outsource this activity.
In this case, the metrology function in the company is only responsible for evaluating subcontractors and checking the quality of the services delivered (e.g. NF EN ISO 10012).
